Concert on Saturday to raise funds for wounded veterans

A concert to raise money for wounded veterans will take place from 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Edwardsville American Legion Post 199, 58 South Route 157, Edwardsville.

The entertainment line-up, all hour long performances:
1 p.m.— Dana Anderson and Friends – The Silver Creek Duo, acoustic music
2:30 p.m. — The Doc Holliday Band, country music from a band with strong Nashville connections
4 p.m. — The Diz Strohman Big Band playing standards in the tradition of Dorsey and Miller
6 p.m. — The Harman Family Blue Grass Band, local group
7:45 p.m. — The Robert Perry Band with the Original Mojos, local group performing 1960s and 1970s rock.
Donation are tax deductible. Food and drink is for sale at the American Legion.

Half of donations will go to the National Headquarters of the American Legion and half to the Wounded Warriors.
