Verizon Wireless is taking some the awkward out of routine job fairs by holding its first Virtual Career Fair tomorrow, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The fair will mimic a normal career fair by connecting recruiters with job candidates; however, instead of exchanging information face-to-face, they will be meeting and connecting online.
Candidates will have the opportunity to connect online and chat live with recruiters without leaving the comfort of their own homes. They’ll be able to exchange contact information and resumes right from their living rooms, no professional attire required.
Verizon is looking to fill more than 1,000 positions across the country, including 16 in Illinois and 25 in Missouri, in wireless sales, customer service and tech support during the second half of 2015.
