Senior health fair planned in Granite City

GRANITE CITY – The Older Adults Health Council of Madison County and Senior Services Plus of Alton will sponsor a senior health fair from 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 22, at the Tri-Mor Bingo Center, 3701 Nameoki Road.
The free event will provide information on area services, including home health, fitness centers, hospice, adult day services, audiology, supportive and assisted living communities, counseling, independent and skilled nursing, rehab facilities and legal services.
The Older Adults Health Council was formed in 2008, with members of local organizations working to assist seniors by building social, personal and health-service referral networks.
Laura Robinson, president of the Older Adults Health Council, said free health screenings will be performed by vendors.
