The Associated General Contractors of America has presented a check for $2,500 to Congressman Rodney Davis for his 2016 primary election campaign.

Pete Korte, AGC national director, presented a check to Drew Collins, political director for Davis.

Participating at the June 24 event was Southern Illinois Builders Association Chief Executive Officer Donna Richter. Korte is president of Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc., an active member of SIBA.

Davis, who represents Illinois’ 13th Congressional District, is a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, the Subcommittee on Aviation and the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit.

SIBA said Davis has been “an indispensable advocate” in the continuing effort to pass legislation for long-term infrastructure funding. The vital importance of steady funding at both the federal and state level was discussed with the congressman’s representative during the event.
