HSHS St. Elizabeth’s to break ground on new hospital June 5

O’FALLON – HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital will host a groundbreaking and blessing for its recently approved $300 million replacement hospital and ambulatory care center along Interstate 64 and Green Mount Road.

The event will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5.

Hospital leadership, government officials, physicians, business leaders and other supporters will take part.

The ceremony will take place at the planned site off Regency Park. An event tent will be located across from Enjoy Church, 251 Regency Park.

St. Elizabeth’s replacement hospital will include 144 private patient rooms, an emergency department, state-of-the-art operating rooms, an advanced intensive care unit, and inpatient rehabilitation. St. Elizabeth’s plans to offer a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services at the new facility, including cancer care, modern birthing suites, telehealth consultations featuring accredited stroke care, and award-winning heart care. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2017.
