Businesses, nonprofits invited to Ameren Illinois energy efficiency symposiums

COLLINSVILLE – Hundreds of business owners, nonprofit representatives, municipal officials and vendors are expected to participate in Ameren Illinois’ sixth annual ActOnEnergy Business Symposiums on Tuesday, June 2, in Collinsville and Wednesday, June 3, in East Peoria.
The events are free to any Ameren Illinois business customer.
The event offers a “one-stop shop” for learning how to take advantage of energy efficiency rebates and incentives that will make a business more competitive and profitable.
During the symposium, attendees will also discover the latest energy efficiency trends, discuss potential projects with contractors and network with business peers.
In addition to breakout sessions on a variety of topics, the events will feature a keynote address from Jeff Pritts, general manager, Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Pritts has been a part of the Marriott brand since 1989, and has been actively involved in promoting sustainability within the hospitality industry since 2000.
The business symposiums serve as a tool for customers new to energy efficiency as well as those who want to dive deeper into emerging technologies and applications.
Participants at this year’s event will:
• Be the first to learn about the newest program offerings and incentives to move projects forward.
• Attend in-depth breakout sessions on energy efficiency for small businesses, steam system efficiency, and how to get started with Ameren Illinois’ energy efficiency programs.
• Meet ActOnEnergy Program Allies, trusted contractors who can implement energy efficiency projects
