IMPACT Strategies completes major expansion for Chelar Tool & Die

From Illinois Business Journal news services

BELLEVILLE – Construction-management firm IMPACT Strategies completed a $1.1 million expansion project this spring for Chelar Tool & Die, Inc., a Belleville-based manufacturer of progressive tools.

Construction of the 12,000-square-foot addition began in October 2014 and completed in March.

IMPACT Strategies built a single-story pre-engineered metal building that is equipped with the latest high-tech equipment used for making high-quality progressive and non-progressive metal stamping dies, metal stampings, specialty precision machinery and Blanchard grinding.

The project is the second building expansion completed by IMPACT for Chelar in the past 10 years. In 2004, IMPACT added a 16,000-square-foot building that provided additional space for design, manufacturing and warehouse storage.

IMPACT Strategies collaborated on the project with architect EWR Associates, Inc., of Fairview Heights.
