Speaker today kicks off Edwardsville Chamber series on business financing

GLEN CARBON – The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce will hold the first installment of its 2015 Small Business Financial Education Speaker Series tonight (Thursday) at the Glen Carbon Centennial Library.
There is no charge. The program is funded by a grant from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the American Library Association.
The first session focuses on access to capital. Speaker is Galen Gondolfi of Justine Petersen, a nationally recognized asset development organization and microlender. The organization works locally from offices in St. Louis and Granite City.
He will speak from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Glen Carbon Centennial Library, 198 S. Main St.
Gondolfi is chief communications officer with Justine Petersen. In his 13 years with Justine Petersen, Gondolfi has held positions in housing, microlending and most recently communications and development. Gondolfi routinely speaks publicly on the issues of microfinance, community-driven economic development and the plight of the underbanked.
