Sitton Energy Solutions working on multiple projects

Sitton Energy Solutions, which has multiple offices including O’Fallon, has been selected for energy efficiency projects for two Central Illinois hospitals, involving the identification and implementation of measures affecting more than 850,000 square feet.

The work has established a goal of saving more than $1,000,000 for the two clients, and the collective annual reduction of more than 5.5 million pounds of carbon emissions. It is also estimated that the projects will earn a total of approximately $400,000 in incentives from Ameren Illinois’s ActOnEnergy program.

The work being done for Blessing Hospital in Quincy and Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville will help optimize the operation of the building systems, with a primary focus on the HVAC systems.

The energy efficiency updates should result in annual electric savings of 5 percent to 10 percent and annual gas savings of 10 percent to 15 percent, Sitton said. The average annual return-on-investment across the projects will be in excess of 100 percent.

Sitton Energy Solutions is an independent energy consultant.
