Group seeks nominees for first-time green initiatives awards

Has someone you know been making Southwestern Illinois “greener”? Do you know of people who are taking a leadership role in sustainable initiatives?

HeartLands Conservancy is seeking nominations for its first Green Leaf Achievement Awards, which will recognize outstanding contributions to the physical environment within our region.

The Green Leaf Awards, being presented April 16 at Hidden Lake Winery near Aviston, will honor exemplary sustainability and environmental stewardship achievements of leaders, businesses, organizations and communities in St. Clair, Madison, Bond, Clinton, Monroe, Randolph and Washington counties.
