JERSEYVILLE – A new restaurant will open for business Monday in the heart of downtown Jerseyville.
Ciudad Del Sol Mexican Restaurant, 208 S. State St., will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. before officially opening its doors for the inaugural lunch service.
City officials and members of the Jersey County Business Association will be on hand to help celebrate the grand opening, and the public is invited.
Owners Rafael Torres of Alton, Marcos Zendejas of Godfrey, Tony and Rachel Ruiz of Jerseyville and Robin Groppel of Jerseyville collectively bring decades of experience in the restaurant industry to the new operation.
The restaurant will serve authentic Mexican cuisine in what they owners call “a fun, friendly, welcoming atmosphere.” A wide selection of items will be on the menu, from traditional Mexican favorites including festive margaritas, sizzling fajitas, and a variety of burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and more. Tasty vegetarian options also will be available as well as a selection of classic American dishes, including grilled steaks, chicken and pork chops.
Ciudad del Sol Mexican Restaurant will serve lunch and dinner. Its hours of operation are:
Monday through Thursday – 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
Friday – 11 a.m. through midnight;
Saturday – 11 a.m. through 11 p.m.; and
Sunday – 11 a.m. through 9 p.m.
