Bank offers video competition for teens
EDWARDSVILLE – The Bank of Edwardsville has joined the American Bankers Association in sponsoring the ABA’s popular “Lights, Camera, Save!” contest.
The video contest encourages teens between the ages of 13 and 18 to educate themselves and their peers about the value of saving and using money wisely.
“This contest is a great opportunity for local teens to show their creativity while learning about saving and spending money wisely at the same time,” said Erin Janek, marketing program coordinator at the bank. “In addition, there are great incentives for teens and schools to get involved in the contest.”
Three national winners of the contest will be selected and receive $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000. Meanwhile the winners’ schools will have a chance to win a scholarship to attend the 2015 Jump$tart National Educators Conference. Winning videos will also be posted to YouTube and become part of a national campaign highlighting money management practices relevant to teens.
To enter the contest, teens create a 60-90 second video that shows the value of sound financial decisions and submit their video and a completed entry form to Erin Janek, 330 West Vandalia St., Edwardsville, IL., 62025. Videos and entry forms can also be emailed to Janek at ejanek@4thebank.com.
For more information, or to pick up an entry form, visit any of the bank’s 18 banking centers or go to www.4thebank.com/lcs.htm.
