SCORE offers workshop series on starting a business

The Southwestern Illinois Chapter of SCORE is sponsoring a Simple Steps Series Workshop on starting a business, a five-part series that begins Sept. 22 at Southwestern Illinois College, 2500 Carlyle Ave., Belleville.

The first session, on Start-up Basics, will be free. Four other workshops in the series are $31.25 each or $125 for the whole series.

The series will feature Business Concept on Sept. 29; Marketing Plan on Oct. 6; Financial Projections on Oct. 13; and Funding Sources and Next Steps on Oct. 20.

Each session is 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Information Science Building Room 2014.
