Jensen to retire as judge in Madison County
EDWARDSVILLE – The announced retirement of Associate Judge Keith Jensen sets up a vacancy in the 3rd Judcial Circuit, officials announced this afternoon.
In accordance with Illinois Supreme Court rules, David Hylla, the chief judge, announced that the vacancy becomes official with the retirement effective Aug. 31.
Any U.S. citizen, who is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, and a resident of the circuit (Madison and Bond counties), may seek appointment to the Office of Associate Judge. Applicants must submit two original applications on the prescribed application form to the Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts.
Applicants may secure the necessary forms in the Office of the Chief Judge, Madison County Courthouse, 155 N. Main St., Suite 405, Edwardsville, from the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts or from the Supreme Court’s website: www.state.il.us/court. Applications may not be submitted electronically or via facsimile.
All applications must be received by the Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts by 5 p.m. on Sept. 2.
