BELLEVILLE – Participants can earn their OSHA 10-Hour Card through the Selsius Corporate & Career Training program of Southwestern Illinois College.
Selsius is taking registrations now for the general industry certification course, which is geared toward entry-level workers in factories, restaurants and retail stores.
Supervisors responsible for safety training can use the course as a foundation for earning their OSHA 30-Hour Card.
Participants will be introduced to Occupational Safety and Health Administration policies and procedures. The training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.
General industry safety and health principles covered in OSHA Act Part 1910 will be addressed.
The training is scheduled for June 5 and 7 at the SWIC Belleville Campus, 2500 Carlyle Ave. It runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The fee is $119.
