McCarthy / Memorial

Industry Leaders of Southwestern Illinois

“Rural and urban, large and small, McCarthy has built high-quality facilities in communities all across Illinois for over 50 years. With a focus on safety and quality, a passion for innovation, and a true commitment to the communities where we live and work, McCarthy understands the value of high-quality work.

In 2012 McCarthy opened an office in Collinsville so that we could better serve our clients and partners in the region.  When this decision was made, I happily welcomed the opportunity to lead the team as the Illinois Operations Director. As a lifelong resident of Illinois, nothing is more important to me and my family than the community that we live in. I’m proud to say that McCarthy has the knowledge and expertise to tackle the toughest construction projects throughout Illinois, while utilizing local subcontractors and supporting the local economy.

At McCarthy, we’re focused on making sure every facility we build provides the support Southwestern Illinois requires – from hospitals and local school facilities to large college campus additions, transportation and much more.     “As the largest hospital provider in the Metro East, Memorial strives to ensure your healthcare experience meets or exceeds your expectation. And because we recognize that expectations change, we continually explore opportunities to improve upon the services we provide.

In 2014 we broke ground for Memorial Hospital – East, a 94-bed, full service hospital that will feature a full line of services including a Family Care Birthing Center, Emergency Department, intensive care unit, surgical suites and diagnostic services. We will continue operating on the main campus in Belleville, and look forward to providing the same superior services to the O’Fallon/Shiloh community that our patients have come to expect for more than 50 years. We have recruited a 13-member board of directors to help oversee this process, all of whom are business leaders in the Metro East.

IBJ May14 Page 14 Image 0045    One area in which Memorial continues to excel is quality. In 2013, Memorial was redesignated as a Magnet organization, the highest honor a healthcare organization can receive for professional nursing practice. Additionally, Memorial has been named as a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence by Healthgrades for the third consecutive year. This places the quality of care our patients receive at Memorial among the top five percent of hospitals in the nation.

We continue to recruit and retain skilled individuals who share our mission of providing exceptional healthcare and compassionate service. Our medical staff, employees, volunteers and board members work collectively to deliver extraordinary care to our patients every day. At Memorial we work together as a team and consider it a privilege to provide you and your family with quality healthcare.”
