Tim Fritzsche may be the newest member of the Commercial Banking team at TheBANK of Edwardsville, but he’s not new to the profession.
Fritzsche built his 25-year career with institutions in the Metro East/St. Louis market area. In September, he joined TheBANK of Edwardsville and is based out of the bank’s home office.
The Mount Olive native began in banking immediately after college. He went to work at his hometown bank after receiving a degree in Business Administration from Illinois College in Jacksonville. He and his wife Jan relocated to Edwardsville in 1998.
“For the past five years I worked in St. Louis” says Fritzsche. “Now, working in the town where I live, I feel like I’ve come home.”
As a commercial banker, Fritzsche gets to do what he loves best. “I really enjoy visiting my clients’ businesses and getting to know their unique situations” he says. The more he understands his clients and how they operate, the better he is able to develop banking solutions for them. “One of my favorite parts of the job is providing financing options that will translate into success for their companies.”
For the banker/client relationship to succeed, the lines of communication need to go both ways. Clients contact Fritzsche when their situation changes or when they are faced with major financial decisions. Likewise, Fritzsche keeps his finger on the pulse of what is happening in the region and in his clients’ industries.
“If I hear of something that may affect them, I’ll contact them to discuss it,” he said.
While it’s nice to be there to celebrate when everything is going well, it is also essential to meet the challenge of developing solutions when times are tough, he said.
Fritzsche is thrilled to be back “home” working for TheBANK of Edwardsville. He is extremely proud to be part of TheBANK’s team and its record of giving back to the community. “TheBANK has been around for nearly 150 years. It is a true community partner – focused on contributing to the economic success of the communities it serves.”
When not helping local businesses, Tim Fritzsche serves on the board of directors for the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Little League. He has been on the board since his son, who is now a student at Lindenwood University, played. He enjoys golf and watching baseball and football in his free time.
