dickerson jenniferDickerson    As an associate at the civil litigation firm of Williams, Venker & Sanders, LLC, Jennifer Dickerson feels privileged to advise and defend clients on a wide range of legal matters throughout Illinois and Missouri. She understands that lawsuits can be stressful and is dedicated to representing her clients aggressively and delivering favorable results.
Dickerson focuses her practice primarily in the areas of personal injury, products liability, toxic torts and worker’s compensation. She works with a broad base of clients from small to large companies in many industries, including transportation, construction and manufacturing.
Law has been her career of choice since she was a child. After taking paralegal studies classes as an undergraduate at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, she knew for certain that she was meant to practice law.
While she attended Southern Illinois University School of Law, she clerked at a plaintiff’s civil litigation firm. It was her first experience in a professional legal setting and she enjoyed the opportunity to interact with clients and the opposing counsel. The fast-paced atmosphere of litigation was exhilarating, she says. After earning her juris doctor in 2004, she went to work for a small insurance defense firm in Belleville and took on personal injury, nursing home negligence and worker’s compensation cases. Dickerson went on to join litigation firm Williams, Venker & Sanders in 2012.
Dickerson says she enjoys being in court and working actively on cases. She gains insight and understanding of many different industries because of her work. As a civil litigator, every day is different and that appeals to her.
The highlight of working at Williams, Venker & Sanders, she says, is the opportunity to learn from her fellow attorneys who have significant trial experience in numerous areas of civil litigation. The firm offers a mentoring culture that encourages continual growth and development to help its attorneys efficiently serve their clients.
Dickerson is active in the St. Clair County Bar Association and volunteers for the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois. This non-profit organization provides legal advocacy, shelter and counseling to domestic abuse victims in St. Clair, Monroe and Randolph counties in Illinois.
The firm of Williams, Venker & Sanders offers a commitment to provide client-focused service in the aggressive representation of clients in all facets of litigation. Founded in 2001 by four partners, the firm has undergone planned growth, allowing it to broaden the scope of its litigation practice to a nationwide level.
